As we frantically attempt to finish all of our Christmas shopping before next week, we've noticed a very popular accessory gracing the shelves of all our favorite stores and websites.  Available in a variety of styles, ear cuffs are earrings of 2013.  Whether you have your tragus, cartelege, conch, standard ear lobe piercing or none at all, there is ear jewelry to fulfill your needs.  What we love the most about ear cuffs is that we don't have to worry about them being ripped out of our ears while wading through an uncomfortably crammed dance floor, dodging the swaying arms and legs of those  extremely irritating girls who feel the need to be perched on top of their best guy friend's shoulders.  We suggest searching sites such as Etsy and Wanelo for the best selections.

Increasing in popularity during the Spring 2012 season, peplum tops are the perfect way to add curves and a waistline to any casual yet boring jeans and a t-shirt look.  In the spring we saw peplum skirts and tops covered in bright colors and patterns, and now for the fall/winter season we have suggested some more weather appropriate options to the left.  Kim Kardashian has been spotted numerous times in peplum donned attire, and although we absolutely cannot stand her, we seriously envy her wardrobe.

Fall Shoes We Love

Fall is always a confusing time for the fashion world. One day it's sunny and 65 degrees, the next it's a gloomy 55 degrees, if you're lucky.  In order to help others cope with the fickle weather, we decided to dedicate a post to our favorite multi-purpose shoe: Minnetonkas.  If you live under a rock and don't already know, Minnetonkas come in a variety of styles ranging from slippers and moccasins to boots and slippers. From plenty of previous experience, we can tell you it's better to buy Minnetonkas so they're snug on your foot because they tend to stretch just like Uggs.  Below are our favorite designs with complementing attire suggestions.

Fringe Tank Top Transformations

During the summer season, we try to avoid Urban Outfitters at all costs.  Why? Because if we were Miley Cyrus rich we would own 95% of their inventory, and since this is not the case, we have to conjure up  other ways to look fabulous on a budget. That being said, instead of spending $54 on a fringe crop top/tank top we devised a way to create the same look for $2.80:

1. Travel to your nearest Forever 21 and purchase your favorite color of their V-Neck stretch cami

2. Measure six inches from the bottom hem of the shirt - cut all the way around 

*do not throw away the bottom portion

3.  Decide how high up you would like the fringe to go, mark the shirt and begin cutting 1 inch think slits (make sure you don't cut them too high, you want to avoid under-boob)

4. Once you've completely fringed the shirt, slide beads onto the fringe - you can make any pattern you want just make it colorful!

5. Tie a small knots after you slide the beads on so they don't fall off while raging

*Use the leftover material to wrap around your head as a headband.  The fabric is stretchy so you can either knot it, or slide it on as is to add some hippy flair to your outfit, while keeping your hair off your sweaty forehead.

4. Using a hot glue gun, glue the back of the flower and press it firmly onto the bra

Bye Bye Blisters, It's Time To Dunk & Dance

We find that one of our biggest dilemmas when going to a show is deciding what to wear on our feet.  Looking cute is an obvious must, but being comfortable enough to dance for 6+ hours on end is an even bigger priority.  Girls in heels screams NOOB, and we definitely don't appreciate randos using us for support as they wade through the crowd, so please electrolettes don't make that painful mistake (we mean that both literally and metaphorically).  Since summer is right around the corner, it's too warm to wear flat boots, but sandals don't offer nearly enough support, not to mention that you definitely want to avoid having your brand new pedicure become massacred by shuffling feet.  Our solution is to invest in a pair of supportive and comfortable yet extremely fashionable Nike Dunks.  Dunks come in a large assortment of bright colors and patterns, while adding a very casually sexy twist to any outfit, whether it be with skinny jeans, shorts or a mini-skirt/dress. 

Summer 2012 Wishlist

Pop of Neon

What is every festival go-er bound to see when attending their favorite DJs show? ABUNDANT amounts of neon.  However, the line seems to be blurring on when and where neon is appropriate to be worn.  Making its debut in the fashion scene, neon is the go to accent to make an everyday outfit stand out amongst the crowd.  Unlike at a festival where one can overdose on neon and still look awesome, for everyday neon wear, limit the amount to a small pop.  Ravers rejoice, neon is definitely a trend that is here to stay.
